Enterprise Technology Manager – Washington DC
Senior Management position to perform senior strategic technology evaluations, technical infrastructure design, AV/IT interface integration and policy protocol management. Supervise and develop Engineering staff and perform strategic management of the Digital Signage and Streaming operations.

  • Provide technical expertise in the field of new media encompassing all related disciplines such as streaming media, digital signage, AV/IT network, documentation and infrastructure architecture
  • Review and monitor service levels indicators of equipment using online tools; provide guidance for those working with the equipment on a daily basis
  • Work closely with client and Engineering team to strategize and propose future solutions for multichannel content distribution
  • Manage and mentor Premium Services, Engineering and Production staff on emerging technologies
  • Perform technology watch on industry/market trends advising management on benefits and disadvantages of related decisions and the impact on business
  • Recommend alternatives to infrastructure including replacement of systems and equipment to meet agreed service levels
  • Maintain system documentation and service manuals related to and useful for installation work, and diagnostic reference for current repairs and future upgrades.
  • Draft and report service level agreements for preventative maintenance of other clients’ systems not in managed spaces
  • Interact often with other technical staff such as Software Contractors, Network Integration, Facilities contractors and Videoconferencing technicians
  • Provide technical solutions throughout the network and complete other projects as assigned
  • Responsible for working with Chief Engineer on integration/installation projects to include providing technical knowledge on control systems and/or troubleshooting and programming of such systems
  • Develop Engineering staff training and development plan, encouraging new learning and certifications
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and solving complex technical problems and an interest in developing new strategies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to supervise small teams.  Sensitivity and tact in dealing with staff/partners/clients at different levels in a very diverse environment
  • An overall understanding of the live program production process is preferable and a strong sense of urgency in solving customer requests to ensure timely resolution is critical
  • Demonstrate leadership aptitude, ability to listen and consider the opinions of others and gather consensus
  • Familiar with all types of AV equipment and control systems, including programming of AMX, Crestron  and DSP units
  • Superior knowledge of current industry practices, standards and procedures
  • Ability to set up, encode and operate live streams
  • Ability to set up A/V streaming player functions for a wide range of devices
  • Familiarity with mobile and smart devices and ability to manage content delivery
  • Proficient understanding of network hardware and infrastructure protocols for system design and implementation. Knowledge of software for configuring managed layer 2 switches, routers and firewalls, bridges, multiplexors, point-to-point data circuits via copper and fiber for audio and video
  • Firm understanding of video streaming and digital signage
  • Good writing and documentations skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office/Project with some related experience with Microsoft Access and/or SQL
  • Ability to liaise with manufacturers and integrators to install, test and recalibrate new and newly repaired gear
  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural and multilingual environment; Candidate must be capable of managing in a diverse workforce environment
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills; be well organized and capable of handling multiple assignments
  • Candidate must have a commitment to excellence, to ongoing education, to the mastery of his or her craft and to helping to develop these traits in others


  • Minimum 12+ years broadcast or telecommunications experience; large market/facility
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or related field preferred
  • InfoComm CTS, CTS-D and/or CTS-I, MCSE, CCNA, PMP or related certifications preferred
