We Love a Good Charity & We Love a Good Contest

The results are in! As most of you probably know, this year TeamPeople conducted a holiday charity contest. We carefully researched and chose three organizations with missions and values we support. Semper Fi Fund, Feeding America and The Children’s Heart Foundation stole our hearts. In the spirit of the holiday, we asked our clients, talent and friends to vote on which charity we should donate to this year. Turns out, we’re a sucker for a good cause and we’re going to give to all three charities according to the percentage of votes that came through. Congrats to the Semper Fi Fund who came in first place! We’ll be in touch with these organizations next week to send them our gift.

Vote Break Down:

TeamPeople Gives Back

Here’s a little bit about these organizations:

Semper Fi Fund: Semper Fi Fund’s mission is to serve those who preserve our freedom by providing assistance to post 9-11 Marines and Sailors, as well as members of the Army, Air Force or Coast Guard who meet their criteria for assistance.

Feeding America: Feeding America is the nationwide network of 200 food banks that leads the fight against hunger in the United States. Feeding America provides food to more than 46 million people through 60,000 food pantries and meal programs in communities across America.

The Children’s Heart Foundation: As the country’s leading organization solely committed to CHD research funding, CHF dedicates itself to bringing health, hope and happiness to children and families impacted by a CHD. Their mission is to fund the most promising research to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of CHDs.

If you voted, thanks for taking the time and for being friends with TeamPeople. 🙂 Happy New year!
